Privacy Policy

This policy applies to XO4 (the "Application"), a freemium mobile game for Android and iOS published by Fabrice Montfort (the "Service Provider").

Data processed by the Application

XO4 does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number or postal address. Game progress, settings and the Premium entitlement are stored locally on your device. The Application does not request precise or background location and does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files.

The following technical data may be collected automatically by the services integrated into the Application:

• IP address, which may be used to infer an approximate location;
• device, operating system, app version and installation identifiers;
• app interactions, game events, sessions and advertising interactions;
• crash reports, stack traces, diagnostics and relevant app/device state.

Purposes and third-party services

• Google Mobile Ads and User Messaging Platform: display and measure ads, manage consent and privacy choices, limit invalid traffic and prevent fraud. Google may process IP address, app interactions, diagnostics and advertising or app-set identifiers.
• Google Analytics for Firebase: measure app usage and game events so the Service Provider can understand and improve the Application.
• Firebase Crashlytics, Installations and Sessions: identify crashes, diagnose technical issues and measure app sessions.
• Cloud Firestore: download public daily and campaign challenge configuration. XO4 does not upload your game progress to Firestore.
• Google Play Billing / Apple In-App Purchase: process the optional Premium purchase and restore its entitlement. Payment details are handled by the relevant store and are not received by the Service Provider.

Consent and privacy choices

Where required, XO4 requests advertising consent before requesting ads. You can reopen the privacy choices from the Application settings. Depending on your choice and region, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. You can stop future collection by uninstalling the Application.

Data retention and deletion

Local settings and progress remain on your device until you clear the app data or uninstall XO4. Data processed by Google, Firebase, Google Play or Apple is retained according to the provider's policies and applicable law. To request access to or deletion of data associated with the Application, use the contact form. Because XO4 has no user account, the Service Provider may not be able to associate pseudonymous service data with a specific person.

Children

XO4 is not specifically directed to children under 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. A parent or guardian who believes that a child has supplied personal information may contact the Service Provider so that appropriate action can be taken.

Security and disclosures

Data sent to the listed service providers is encrypted in transit. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or rights, or to investigate fraud and security incidents.
